About Me

Hello! Thank you for visiting Gallery JDK. 

For as long as I can remember I wanted to be an artist. When I was a child my aunt looked at my little hands and somehow declared "You have artist's hands".  In high school my art teacher remarked "You will never be happy unless you are in art".  I got a little side tracked and pursued degrees in biology and worked in administrative and coordinator roles in the construction/engineering industry for 26 years. Lastly, I retired from the death care industry after almost 8 years of service. Although I enjoyed these roles very much art lurked in the backseat of my life, impatiently grimacing at me in the rear view mirror. Art bubbled up in my PowerPoint presentations, brochure designs, posters, correspondence, flow charts and office cubicle. In retirement art is now in the driver's seat. Let's go for a drive!
